Hello my name is Simon Houghton and I’m a Photographic Retoucher.

One of the skills I have picked up over the years is a eye for retouching photographs, I had always had an interest in Photoshop from my collage days where I did a HND in Digital Imaging and before I decided to become Self Employed I worked at Trafalgar Photographic Studios in Bradford, where I was the IT Manager/ Retoucher.

The Studio was heavily into Roomset Photography so a lot of the retouching work I did while there involved a lot of Kitchens, Bathrooms and other home interiors. It was a fast paced environment to work in and I developed many quick techniques to accurately retouch images to the highest standard. Many of the images I’ve retouched have appeared in brochures and other advertising.

Since becoming Self employed in 2005 I have keep in-touch with a few studios and work occasionally with them to keep my hand in the photography industry, but my main focus over the last few years though has been in Internet Marketing and Web Design.

I really do enjoy Retouching Photographs I find it immensely satisfying and quite therapeutic, I know its not the done thing to blow your own trumpet but… I do consider myself quite a good Retoucher!
