Hello and welcome to my blog. My name is Simon Houghton and I’m a self employed, Affiliate Marketer, Photo Retoucher & Web Master, who lives just outside Leeds in West Yorkshire. I’ve been working online for myself at home for the past 3 years since leaving Trafalgar Photographic Studios where I was the IT Manager. I decided that it was about time I got of my lazy arse and did something proper with this domain name I bought.

Why Simonhoughton.com then? well I’ve been him all my life so I figured it might be a good investment. I’d been uming and aring for ages about what I should do with it, should I make a website, should I just leave it with the daft picture I had up, in the end I decided to go with a Blog so I could natter about all the things that go on in my head

I really do enjoy being my own boss, its lots of hard work but its very rewarding as I get to work on what ever project takes my whim. I always have way too many projects on the go and I will admit I’m sometimes crap at finishing things! Working at home is enabling me to spend loads of time with my Son Charlie, who was born in January 2008. Its great, I can’t imagine having to go to out to work everyday and only seeing him for half an hour a day before he goes to bed, it would drive me nuts.

So what is this blog about? Well this is just my little place on the internet so I can talk about things that I find, have an interest in or just things I would like to share with the world. i do like to help people so most of the posts on this site are going to be either silly or informative!
